Roehlano M. Briones writes "For short commentary on economic issues, or my condensed thoughts on economics, visit my weblog at: Rational Choice. This weblog is taking up a lot of time! From an early frenetic pace of one post a day, I have scaled it down to a post every Monday-Wednesday-Friday. So I’m afraid updating this website has been moved down to lower priority. I’m a consultant based in Manila, specializing in economics, development, and policy. I am 34, married with two children. I used to teach economics at the University of the Philippines Los Banos and then Ateneo de Manila. I got my Ph.D. from the School of Economics at University of the Philippines Diliman in 2000. I have worked on economic modeling, the economics of agriculture and rural development, welfare economics, environment and natural resources, the macroeconomy, and international trade. I have a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and books. Details are found in my CV (click the link on the upper left). This website is a convenient way to communicate my work – both completed and in progress.- Roehlano M. Briones
