My Space
When we think of web 2.0, many of us naturally associate it with consumers rather than corporations. With examples like MySpace, Digg, Flickr, Wikipedia / wikis, blogging, and others, the value to the consumer is clear; however, the value of web 2.0 can be extended to the enterprise.

Easy to express yourself
My Space makes it easy to express yourself, connect with friends and make new ones, but please remember that what you post publicly could embarrass you or expose you to danger. Here are some common sense guidelines that you should follow when using MySpace:
My Space is a public space
Don't forget that your profile and My Space forums are public spaces. Don't post anything you wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., your phone number, address, IM screens name, or specific whereabouts). Avoid posting anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find you, such as where you hang out every day after school. Read about how to hide everything at My Space
Who is posting?
People aren't always who they say they are. Be careful about adding strangers to your friends list. It's fun to connect with new My Space friends from all over the world, but avoid meeting people in person whom you do not fully know. If you must meet someone, do it in a public place and bring a friend or trusted adult.
The open space
The open space has its dangers too. Take care of your identity.
My Web 2.0
From: The My Web Team
Subject: Welcome to My Web 2.0
You’re in! Welcome to My Web, where you and the people you trust can share the best of the Web -- and take advantage of the whole world’s web-surfing picks! Here's how to get the most out of My Web: Save pages with the Yahoo! Toolbar. Saving and re-finding web pages is a snap when you add the Yahoo! Toolbar to your browser. The "My Web" button on the Toolbar lets you save any web page or find ones you’ve already saved.
Start discovering
In addition to bookmarking pages for yourself, you can search and browse pages that other people have saved and shared. And, if you come across someone whose links you like, subscribe to him and look at the Web through his eyes. Go to the My Web 2.0 Home Page to start discovering! Sincerely, The My Web Team.
Social bookmarking
Web 2.0 is leading to new spin-offs and services. This is the latetst one. It can be compared with delicious. I'm beta testing this service. They call it "a social bookmarking service." MyWeb Update: Connecting and Discovering
The way contacts work
The My Web blog writes: "As we noted a couple of days ago, we’ve just completed a My Web upgrade that should make it easier to find and share bookmarks with the world. We’ve changed the way “Contacts” work, so you can more easily add people to your contacts list to stay up to date on what they share, and vice versa (people can more easily add you). Of course, you still decide what to share and what not to."
