Hello

This is an attempted to sketch a portrait of a number of digital villages whos developments we have seen in public, and whose tangible connection to the known business development universe appears to be a steady stream of postings originating from a post office in Loviisa, Finland.

Even in a science fiction writer’s most inaccurate predictions, there are sometimes valuable truths to be gleaned. Take your time to surf the truths, predictions and profilings. This is the first page and I'm experimenting with pbwiki. This will extend to a business plan for North American operations. But let's get started in France at Forum [Forum Ã  l'Agora 2005 (Partie 1): "1ère partie de notre aventure forum à l'Agora... heureusement les profs n'étaient pas sur place et ils n'ont jamais eu d'échos de notre aventure..."

Wiki

What is it? pbwiki rocks and it's free and one of those easy to use wikis. A wiki is a software platform for contributing, sharing, and managing content. Any group that has a need for a collaborative user driven content environment can benefit from using a wiki. Perhaps the most prominent example on the Web of a wiki in heavily active, popular usage today is Wikipedia, which is, as you might expect, a wiki-based encyclopedia. The Wikimedia Foundation uses as the basis of Wikipedia a GPL-licensed application called Media Wiki, and so can you.

Media Wiki

From a user perspective, Media Wiki provides a simple, feature rich environment for editing and contributing content. Content is handled with a simple WYSIWYG editor that makes editing accessible to anyone by default even without a login. All articles also have a discussion tab that allows readers to comment on the article as well as a history tab that lets you view version history when edits have been made. Its ease of use has no doubt been a contributing factor in the growth of Wikipedia.

When we left the digital cinema I was amazed. Everything I knew about acting and theater production and movie making, multimedia, video production, narrowcasting, micromovies had been expanded beyond my expectations. I sat wordlessly typing posts to my blog in a Greenwich Village coffee shop.

So many impressions were striking me at once that I was soon exhausted trying to sort them out and keep track. And this was only our third day in New York! We took a long walk all the way uptown to the hotel, during which I had to inspect every store window and peer around corners to see what was there.

The idea of national identity doesn't seem to matter anymore. In the Anglo-American empire you can do anything. You can't be elected president unless you were born in America, but almost any other job is open. In London, the City is practically no longer a part of England. It is full of foreigners, all working for themselves, and for these big, multi-national companies. All that matters is if they can do the job.
